"Aoyaki Takeaki," with a knife in his chest, was found dead under the statue of "Gilen with Wings" on the Nihmbashi Bridge in central Tokyo, and soon found "Yashima Fuyuki," a suspect who was chased by the police in a truck crash, causing him to sleep as a Sleeping Beauty and later lost his life.
The case seems to be simple, but Fuyuki's way of doing this prevents the police from investigating the facts, and Kaga Kyoichiro still doesn't believe Fuyuki is the real killer, causing Kaga to investigate the truth this time.
Plot / storyline is good, fun, investigation is a little bit intense, not very complicated, easy to read, easy to understand, not a headache, but there will only be a few more complex truths to read, or you will be confused.
The course of the story is not slow, not fast, gradually searching for clues. The puzzle knot is not very interesting, but it is read indefinitely, enjoyable, not boring.
There's not much of a middle guess, but in the end, it's hard to guess. The truth is, it's very unexpected. The peak is very difficult to guess. Everyone knows that Fuyuki shouldn't be the real killer, and who the real killer is. There's no one who looks suspicious. The motive is hard to guess. At the peak, there's about a depth.
At the end of the episode about the origin of the motive, the method of murder wasn't very complicated, but I was confused, but it's good that after the end of the case, it's explained more like a summary.

หลายคนอาจเคยเห็นคำว่า “รูปปั้นกิเลน” หรือ “กิเลนมีปีก” แล้วสงสัยว่ามันเกี่ยวกับอะไร ในเล่ม ปมฆ่าใต้ปีกกิเลน (The Wings of the Kirin) จุดเริ่มคดีคือการพบศพใต้รูปปั้น “กิเลนมีปีก” บนสะพานนิฮมบาชิ ใจกลางโตเกียว ซึ่งเป็นแลนด์มาร์กที่มีอยู่จริง และเป็นเหมือนสัญลักษณ์ของ “จุดเริ่มต้น/การเดินทาง” (แถวนั้นเป็นย่านเก่าแก่และมีความหมายทางประวัติศาสตร์) เลยทำให้บรรยากาศคดีมีความขลังแบบญี่ปุ่น ๆ พอดี—อ่านแล้วจะนึกภาพตามง่ายมาก เหมือนเราเดินอยู่แถวนั้นจริง ๆ ส่วนคำว่า “กิเลนปีก” ถ้าอธิบายแบบเข้าใจง่าย กิเลน (麒麟/คิริน) เป็นสัตว์มงคลในตำนานเอเชียตะวันออก คล้ายยูนิคอร์นผสมกวาง/ม้า มักสื่อถึงความดีงาม ความยุติธรรม และการปรากฏของยุคสันติสุข พอมาอยู่ในนิยายสืบสวน มันเลยยิ่งตอกย้ำธีม “ความจริง-ความยุติธรรม” ที่ค่อย ๆ ถูกเปิดเผยทีละชั้น ฉากใต้รูปปั้นกิเลนมีปีกจึงไม่ได้เป็นแค่โลเคชันเท่ ๆ แต่ทำหน้าที่เหมือนเครื่องหมายคำถามว่า “สิ่งที่เห็นตอนแรกจริงแค่ไหน” อีกคำที่คนเสิร์ชบ่อยคือ “อุกฉกรรจ์ แปลว่า” คำนี้เป็นคำไทยที่ใช้กับคดีร้ายแรงมาก ๆ โดยทั่วไป “อุกฉกรรจ์” แปลว่า ร้ายแรง โหดเหี้ยม สะเทือนขวัญ มักใช้ขยายคำว่า “คดี” หรือ “อาชญากรรม” เช่น “คดีอุกฉกรรจ์” = คดีที่มีความร้ายแรงเป็นพิเศษ (ใกล้เคียงกับคำอังกฤษว่า heinous/atrocious) แต่สำหรับเล่มนี้ แม้จะเริ่มจากคดีฆาตกรรมที่ชวนให้คิดว่าใหญ่โต ทว่าโทนการเล่าไม่ได้ทำให้เครียดจัด เป็นงานสืบสวนที่อ่านง่าย ค่อย ๆ ตามเบาะแสไปเรื่อย ๆ และไปพีคจริงช่วงท้ายมากกว่า ถ้าคุณกำลังลังเลว่าจะอ่านดีไหม จากประสบการณ์อ่านแนวนี้ เราว่าเล่มนี้เหมาะกับคนที่อยากได้ “สืบสวนกำลังดี” ไม่ซับซ้อนจนปวดหัว แต่ยังมีจังหวะหักมุมและแรงจูงใจที่ทำให้สะอึก โดยเฉพาะคนที่ชอบงานของฮิงาชิโนะ เคโงะ หรืออยากลองสายสืบสวนญี่ปุ่นที่เน้นอารมณ์และความหมายบางอย่างหลังคดีปิด เล่มนี้เป็นตัวเลือกที่ปลอดภัยมาก ๆ (แบบหยิบขึ้นมาแล้วอ่านเพลินจนจบ)
