Self Love <3🩶

For years I have always people pleased. Always changed myself for others. I kept the “real me” a secret because I was too afraid people would not like the real me. Since the start of this year, I have been focusing on myself and my goals, interests, and academics and I can tell there’s something different about me. I no longer feel this pressure to be someone else or present a version of myself that isn’t genuine. I feel more comfortable in my own skin. I no longer tolerate the things I used to out up with. My people pleasing habits were worse with boys and cutting dating out of my 2024 has made a gigantic impact. I have more time for my family, friends, and now myself. I have created better habits for myself. Instead of getting ready for the fourth with boy number 3, I am helping my mom make dinner. Instead of texting boy number 5 until midnight, I wake up rested and grateful for quality sleep. It’s these changed that I really value for myself. I no longer spend MY time getting ready, pretending, or faking it for other people. I love this change where I am doing the things I WANT to do. This had made me love myself. I feel I have the time to reflect and really think about who I am and who I want to become. This was a bit of a tangent but I cannot advocate this enough: 2024 IS THE YEAR OF SELF LOVE.
