Shin pads started here!
Did you know this happened right here in Nottingham? 👀 The very first tarmac road was laid on Radcliffe Road in West Bridgford… and it all started by accident. Back in 1901, Edgar Hooley spotted a strange smooth surface after tar spilled and mixed with slag - and by 1902, he’d patented it.

Basingwerk Abbey
Stumbled across Basingwerk Abbey and what a find this is 👀 Dating all the way back to the 12th century, this place has some serious history behind it. It was left abandoned in 1536 during the Dissolution of the Monasteries Act. The Nott'm Lass got the drone out and the views didn’t disapp

Dole of Lancaster
The Duke of Lancaster in Holywell, North Wales - built in 1955 by Harland & Wolff (the same shipbuilders as the Titanic 👀). She spent years as a passenger and car ferry before plans were made to turn her into a huge leisure attraction with shops, restaurants and more… but planning issues sto

St Winefride’s Well
Did you know this peaceful spot in North Wales holds one of the most fascinating legends? 👀💚 At St Winefride’s Well, it’s said that Winefride was brought back to life after her head was severed… and where it fell, a healing spring appeared. It’s now one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in Brita

Turner painted this!
If you love art, this one’s a must… 🎨 J. M. W. Turner (known in his time as William Turner) was drawn to Dolbadarn Castle in North Wales and painted it back in 1799. You can see why - dark, moody skies and that dramatic landscape… it’s got that proper romantic feel he was famous for. Everywhe

The Palladium
What would you do with an old theatre no one uses anymore… knock it down? 👀 Not in Llandudno. This one’s been brought back to life as a The Palladium Wetherspoon… and honestly, it’s absolutely stunning inside 😍

Time for a latte!
Called in at the Lemon Tree Tea Rooms in Llandudno while I was out and about, and I must say the latte went down a treat. A nice little stop for a sit down and a warm drink. ☕🙂

Did you know???
Have you ever noticed how loads of places on the east coast of America have got Welsh names like Swansea, Cardiff, Carnarvon (Caernarfon) and even a place called Wales? 🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 It all goes back to the 1600s when people from Wales emigrated to America looking for land and work, and when they se

Umbrella VS Wind
If you want a giggle this morning, watch this until the end 😅 Thank you so much to GustBuster UK for sending the umbrella – it’s supposed to withstand winds up to 55mph… and to be fair, it didn’t struggle one bit 🤣 Me on the other hand nearly got swept out to sea! 🌬️ Llandudno is soooo win

Definitely a city girl!
When I’m not out filming fun facts and quirky bits, I’m usually off on a walk… but somehow I always end up getting myself into a bit of a situation. Am I the only city girl who heads into the countryside… and immediately struggles? And of course, The Nott'm Lass is always there to film it
