June bugs

You know those big, clumsy beetles that start buzzing around your porch lights right about now? Yep, I'm talking about June bugs! Their populations can fluctuate quite a bit due to natural cycles, weather patterns, pesticides, and the presence of natural predators and diseases. So, if you've noticed fewer one year, it could just be a natural dip in their population cycle. There are also many different 'types' of June bugs, with over 200 species in North America alone, so what you see might vary slightly depending on your region.
