Greed Serves No Purpose
What you build here in life you can't take with you
In my own experience, understanding that "what you build here in life you can't take with you" has been a humbling realization. Reflecting on the message that "every soul on this earth has an expiry date" reinforces how temporary our worldly attachments are. I once chased financial success and possessions relentlessly, only to find they left me feeling empty and disconnected. It was through embracing the truth that "no king has ever taken his crown to the grave" and "no rich man carried his billions beyond the grave" that I began to shift my priorities. This perspective helped me value relationships, personal growth, and contributions that outlast material wealth more deeply. When I focus on creating positive impacts and memories for those around me, I find fulfillment that money can never buy. The idea that "they all departed with nothing, just their final breath" reminds me not to get too attached to possessions that will ultimately vanish like "a change." Instead, I strive to live intentionally because "we are just passing by" in this world that I did not create or will take with me. The wisdom shared in the OCR text lines such as "don’t get too attached to the world" and "every throne been left all alone" pushes one to reflect on what legacy we are truly building. It’s an ongoing journey, but focusing on kindness, experiences, and peace has helped me cultivate a richer life. For anyone feeling caught in a cycle of greed or material chase, I encourage stepping back to see the bigger picture: our time here is limited, and what we truly leave behind are the values and love we shared. Ultimately, embracing this mindset has brought me more joy and less anxiety. Living by the ethos "don’t get attached, nothing here was made to stay" allows freedom from the endless chase. In a world that often glorifies accumulation, sharing this perspective can inspire us all to find meaning beyond wealth—building a life that truly matters long after we’re gone.
