ผมได้มีโอกาสติดตามและศึกษาเกี่ยวกับระบบโรงงานอัตโนมัติของญี่ปุ่น พบว่าแนวคิด "Lights-out manufacturing" หรือที่เรียกว่าโรงงานแบบปิดไฟทำงานจริง ๆ ทำให้การผลิตไม่จำเป็นต้องพึ่งพากำลังคนเลย ตรงนี้เองที่โดดเด่นและน่าทึ่งมาก เพราะหุ่นยนต์อุตสาหกรรมจะทำงานได้ต่อเนื่องหลายสัปดาห์ด้วยตัวเอง โดยใช้เทคโนโลยี AI ควบคู่กับกล้องตรวจจับความแม่นยำ (Machine Vision) และระบบโลจิสติกส์อัตโนมัติ ช่วยให้ผลิตภัณฑ์มีคุณภาพสูงและลดความผิดพลาดจากมนุษย์อย่างชัดเจน นอกจากนี้ ระบบตรวจสอบแบบ Real-time ที่ติดตั้งอยู่ในสายการผลิต ยังช่วยวิเคราะห์และปรับปรุงกระบวนการแบบทันที ส่งผลให้ลดเวลาหยุดสายการผลิตและเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด ข้อดีอีกอย่างที่ผมชอบคือการใช้ "หุ่นยนต์สร้างหุ่นยนต์" เพราะเป็นการนำเทคโนโลยีมาใช้พัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องโดยไม่หยุดพัก ข้อมูลนี้ทำให้ผมเชื่อว่าการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ Industry 4.0 เป็นเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นจริงและสำคัญมากในอนาคตอันใกล้ อย่างไรก็ตาม แม้เทคโนโลยีจะล้ำหน้าแต่บทบาทของมนุษย์ก็ยังจำเป็น เช่น วิศวกรที่ออกแบบโปรแกรมและบำรุงรักษาระบบ รวมถึงการควบคุมคุณภาพขั้นสุดท้าย เพราะหัวใจจริง ๆ ของการผลิตที่ประสบความสำเร็จ คือการผสมผสานระหว่างมนุษย์ที่มีความคิดสร้างสรรค์กับหุ่นยนต์ที่สามารถทำงานซ้ำซ้อนอย่างแม่นยำ ผมคิดว่าอนาคตสายอาชีพที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนา AI หุ่นยนต์ และระบบอัตโนมัติจะเป็นที่ต้องการเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ อย่างแน่นอน
