The solar system is not as open as it seems! 🔭 The new observatory opened its eyes immediately, finding 11,000 new asteroids!
The solar system is not as open as it seems! 🔭 The new observatory opened its eyes immediately, finding 11,000 new asteroids! ☄️
We thought we knew the "house" or the solar system around us well enough, right? But this new telescope is going to prove that...We've missed a lot in the past! 🌌✨
.
Most recently, the Vera C.Rubin Observatory in Chile began to activate and vibrate astronomy immediately! Because just at an early observation, this camera was able to detect more than 11,000 new asteroids that had never been discovered before! It measured tens of thousands of other space objects.
The miracle is that just a "one-night" scan of the sky of this camera finds more new objects than most telescopes find in a year! 💥
🔍 The cool of the Rubin Observatory to keep an eye on:
🔄 Scan the entire sky every three nights: This camera can sweep the entire southern sky visible every three nights, I repeat...Every 3 nights! No object can slip away.
🗺️ Rewrite the Space Map: Over this 10-year mission, scientists expect it to discover millions of new asteroids, comets, and supernovae.
🛡️ Elevate Global Protection: These enormous data will help reinvent Planetary Defense, or Earth Meteor Defense Systems, more accurately than ever before.
Our universe is a lot busier and busier than we ever imagined. Anyone who likes such deep space stories, click Like, Share and follow us! 🚀🛸
