I found booking tickets in advance worthwhile to secure my spot on the popular 1.5-hour cruise along the Chicago River, which offers unparalleled views of landmark buildings. Following that, strolling the Chicago Riverwalk is perfect for photo ops and relaxing by the water. Don’t miss taking a closer look at Marina City’s unique towers when walking to Tribune Tower for some exterior architectural photography. Day 2’s highlights are perfect for art lovers and urban explorers. Spending 2.5 to 3 hours in the Art Institute’s Modern Wing offers a refreshing break indoors with world-class exhibits. Millennium Park’s Cloud Gate (“The Bean”) is ideal for a quick visit and iconic photos, and nearby 360 CHICAGO Observatory provides breathtaking panoramic views of the skyline with ticket prices starting at $30.
