Happy Pride

Pride Month is a special time dedicated to honoring the LGBTQ+ community and the ongoing fight for equal rights and acceptance. Even if you feel like you’re late to the celebration—as expressed in the phrase, "I know I’m late leave me be"—what truly matters is participating authentically and with an open heart. Pride is not only about vibrant parades and parties; it’s also a moment for personal reflection and connection. For me, joining Pride celebrations late has never diminished the impact it has on my understanding of identity and community. Each Pride event I attended later in life brought a deeper appreciation for the courage it takes to live openly and love freely. It’s a reminder that everyone’s journey is unique and there is no set timeline to embrace your true self. I also found that Pride Day, marked here on June 6, 2023, serves as a powerful symbol for change. It’s essential to remember that Pride honors decades of activism and resilience. Supporting Pride means supporting the progress made and acknowledging struggles that continue worldwide. Ultimately, whether early or late, your participation adds value. Sharing your stories, learning from others, and expressing support for LGBTQ+ rights enhances community spirit. Pride is inclusive and ongoing — it’s about standing together, celebrating love, and promoting understanding every day of the year.
