What I love about CofC 🐾❤️

COMMENT if you want the things I HATE!! 🫣

Because I know dang well I have a lot I don’t like as someone who’s in their 4th semester. But I still LOVE the school and city.

I’m Ashlyn, a senior at the College of Charleston preparing to graduate May 2025!! 👩🏼‍🎓

I’m a theatre major with a costume design concentration and I’m a true costume design lover now 🪡

1) There is ALWAYS something to do - ITS TRUE. Every weekend you can find different events, music festivals, markets and so much more. All up and down the peninsula I promise you can find something to do if you’re bored

2) 3 beaches ~30 minutes away - Folly Beach, Sullivan Island and IOP are the three beaches close by. I mean there isn’t a lot of schools that have a beach this close. We also have a carta bus that con go almost all the way to folly! Folly is my favorite 🤩

3) Campus is super walkable - I’ve been to other campuses where the buildings are super spread out or just aren’t close enough together, but College of Charlestons campus has everything super close and it’s super convenient for going from class to class!

4) Great food everywhere - there are so many restaurants in Charleston that are SOOO GOOD. You could try a new spot every day and barely scrape the surface because there’s that many restaurants here. Having this big variety is amazing

5) Tons of fun classes - College of Charleston has a lot of fun programs as well as classes that you can take. One that I’m taking this semester is aerobics and I know someone that’s in a sailing class! I’m a theater costume design major, and I am obsessed with all of the classes they have to offer

🚨 Now it’s time for what I HATE 🚨

Comment and like for a bunch more things that I hate about College of Charleston. There’s pros but you know there are some cons!!

No crash diets. No magic supplements. Just real effort, discipline, and a lot of learning. I won’t lie sticking to a routine when you’re mentally drained, working full time, or just feeling drained is tough. But the truth is: your body will not wait for the “perfect time.” You only get one body

Things I Loved About Japan 🇯🇵
Let me make it clear that Japan is not a perfect place. Like any country, it comes with its flaws. However, after visiting Japan, I noticed a lot of cultural practices (some that have been practiced for centuries) that I wished were more commonplace back home in the U.S. Here are some of those th

iOS 18! Let’s talk about it!
Every time there’s a new iOS, it does something to my little heart, I start planning in my head how I’m going to use new features to help me not only become more productive at my job or tasks, but also become a better me. I’ll be adding how I plan to use these features at work and or better myself.
