It’s not just a diet; it’s a sustainable lifestyle choice that has transformed my relationship with food and helped me achieve the weight loss I've always wanted. It's about making healthy choices 80% of the time, and then for the other 20%, allowing yourself to enjoy whatever you please without guilt. No food is off-limits, which means no cravings turning into binges! How I Make the 80/20 Rule Work for Me: For the 80%, I focus on nutrient-dense, wholesome foods. My meals often look like a big Caesar salad topped with grilled chicken for lunch, or colorful bowls packed with lean protein, fresh veggies, and healthy grains. I love to prep my meals on Sundays, so I have healthy options readily available throughout the week. This makes sticking to the nourishing part so much easier, even on busy days. I always make sure to have plenty of fruits like watermelon slices on hand for healthy snacks, too. Then comes the fun part – the 20%! This is where I truly enjoy my treats without feeling an ounce of regret. It could be a slice of delicious pizza with friends on a Friday night, or maybe some comforting penne pasta with a rich sauce.
