Breastfeeding Mama’s

Looking for some fellow mama wisdom! 🍼 My little one has me in a bit of a puzzle - we had a good thing going with bottles. (we found one bottle she would take -maybe lol), but now my tiny milk connoisseur has decided they're completely beneath her standards. We've tried all the bottle brands that probably cost more than my first car 😅

Any experienced mamas have tricks up their sleeves for convincing a strictly-from-the-source baby that bottles aren't the enemy? Bonus points if your little one was as stubborn as mine! Currently trying:

- Different temperatures

- Having others feed her

- Various positions

- Every bottle type known to mankind

- Pretending I'm not secretly losing my mind 🫠

Really hoping to get her comfortable with bottles for those times mama needs a break (or you know, basic things like sleep 😴). Share your bottle-acceptance journey - successful or not, we're all in this together! 💕

... Read moreNavigating the transition from breastfeeding to bottle-feeding can be a daunting task for many new mothers. It's essential to understand that each baby is unique and may have different preferences when it comes to feeding. Key strategies that can facilitate this transition include experimenting with various bottle types and nipples that mimic breastfeeding, as well as adjusting the temperature of the milk or formula to what your baby prefers. Some parents have found success by keeping feeding times relaxed and stress-free, allowing their baby to explore the bottle at their own pace without pressure. Additionally, having someone else (like a partner or grandparent) offer the bottle may help, as the baby might associate the bottle with safety and comfort from a different caregiver. Offering the bottle during less stressful times, such as when the baby is calm or sleepy, can also increase the likelihood of acceptance. Remember, patience is key; it may take several attempts before your baby feels comfortable with a bottle. Lastly, creating a routine that incorporates bottle feeding while ensuring that breastfeeding remains a comforting and loving experience can be beneficial for both mother and child. Embrace this journey as a shared experience with your baby, and don't hesitate to ask for support from fellow mothers who may be facing the same challenges.
