... Read moreFriendship often gets portrayed as a joyful connection filled with laughter and good times, but true friendship goes much deeper. From my personal experience, the most meaningful friendships are those that endure and grow stronger through hardships. When life challenges us, real friends don’t just offer empty words—they stand with us in silence, feel our pain, and help us carry burdens that might otherwise overwhelm us. In the poem, the concept of friendship as a foundation built from broken pieces really resonates. It reminds me of the moments when friends have been my emotional support system—not just cheering me on from the sidelines but actively helping me rebuild after difficult experiences. This shared vulnerability is what transforms acquaintances into chosen family. I’ve learned that loyalty is more than a promise; it’s demonstrated by showing up even when it’s inconvenient, listening without judgment, and bearing witness to the parts of ourselves that we usually keep hidden. The idea of "walking in someone else's shoes" is powerful—it requires empathy and patience, qualities essential in healing emotional wounds. The poem also touches on how bearing each other's struggles doesn’t necessarily make us lighter, but it does make us stronger. This echoes my own friendships where grief and pain were shared and halved, yet those moments deepened our trust and connection. Embracing vulnerability has been challenging but rewarding in my relationships. Rather than avoiding uncomfortable truths, being present and truthful has created a space of genuine connection. That presence, more than empty promises, builds resilience and a form of peace even amid ongoing struggles. Ultimately, the poem beautifully captures that friendship is an ongoing act of lifting each other—even when our own arms are tired—and that this mutual support is what truly defines us as brothers and sisters in life. It’s a reminder that friendship is less about perfection and more about walking through storms together, emerging changed and stronger on the other side.

what is the relation between ADHD and trauma?
It’s like saying which came first, the chicken or the egg? The jury is still out on that one. Well in this case, it is said that those WITH trauma are more likely to develop ADHD and because of the trauma, your ADHD sees to be more pronounced. Our brains are such complex areas. #lemon8partne

Butler Bakeshop is such a chill spot to hang out. The vibe is cozy, and if you go early, it’s not too crowded, making it a great place to relax or get some work done. I got a vanilla latte, and it was super smooth—not too sweet, just really well-balanced. The French toast roll was seriously amazing
