At 22, I thought I’d have life figured out by now 😭

When I first entered my twenties, I was overwhelmed by the pressure to have everything perfectly planned out—career, finances, lifestyle—you name it. But life has taught me that it is completely natural not to have a fixed five-year plan. In fact, many people are still figuring things out well into their late twenties and beyond. From my experience, the key is shifting focus from trying to control every detail to embracing progress over perfection. It's not about having a blueprint for every step but knowing the general direction you want to head in. For me, that means growing as a person, traveling to new places, helping others, and building a life that feels authentic. A major reminder I’ve embraced is that life isn’t a race. Everyone moves at their own timeline, and it’s okay to pivot and redefine your goals as you learn and grow. Sometimes plans will change every week, and that’s part of the adventure. I've learned to focus on “the next right step” instead of stressing over a perfect plan. Financial freedom remains a goal, but I've realized it’s not about immediate perfection; it’s about steady progress. Being open to new opportunities and not feeling behind keeps me motivated. I encourage others in their twenties—and really, at any age—to be kind to themselves and remember that it’s okay to not have all the answers now. Ultimately, your future is allowed to excite and scare you at the same time. Embracing this duality and taking things one day at a time can help you build your unique dream life at your own pace.
