It’s fascinating how the same individual can be seen as both incredibly kind and unreasonably tough. This duality isn't just about personality but about the context and expectations in relationships. I've encountered situations where my kindness was appreciated by some, and at the same time, others judged me harshly because I set firm boundaries or stood up for myself. It taught me that being 'the nicest' doesn't mean you have to be a pushover. Sometimes, people who call you a 'bitch' are reacting to the strength it takes to refuse unfair treatment or to protect your well-being. This concept aligns well with the idea of "treating people like they treat you." It’s a simple yet powerful principle that encourages fairness and self-respect. Being kind doesn't mean accepting mistreatment, and being tough doesn't mean losing empathy. Striking this balance helps maintain healthy relationships and shows others the respect you expect in return. Remember, others will interpret your actions through their own experiences and expectations. That's why some people only see your kindness, while others perceive your assertiveness negatively. Accepting both views helps you stay grounded and true to yourself without losing sight of your values.
