If you meet someone "better"..Who will you choose? A short heart-shaking conversation.
The other day I accidentally scrolled through a video, a translation that attracted me with a simple conversation atmosphere, but it was surprisingly powerful. The storyteller in the clip threw a point in the middle of the circle, a question that stopped me and was so impressed by the conclusion that I felt, "I have to bring this story back."
The story begins when the storyteller turns to question the audience:..
"If you already have a girlfriend...And then one day you happen to meet another better than the first. Who will you choose? "
It was a heartbreaking world question that usefully tested human attitudes. He chose to wait to hear the answers from three listeners, each of whom reflected a completely different view of love.
Person 1 replied quickly and honestly:
"Choose the second one! People like us either have to choose the person they like or they will choose each other."
It is an answer driven primarily by personal desire and satisfaction. When listening to the end, the storyteller simply remains calm, does not judge or argue, he turns to the next person.
The second gives a reason that sounds familiar and deeply romantic:
"I chose the second one, because if you really love the first one,..The second will never show up. "
Many people may nod to this sentence because it sounds like the truth of their feelings, but the storyteller remains calm, and he looks deeply at the last audience and asks briefly, "What about you?"
And the answer of the last person..That made me realize why this conversation is worth sharing.
The last person replied in a simple but strong tone:
"If you choose the 2nd person,..Someday there will be a third person following you, the size of the person you chose with your hand, and you are not stable to choose him...So what do you take to someone else? He loves you. "
This answer is like a light switch chopped to light; it completely destroys the logic of choosing a "better" person.
It made me realize that love is not a constant pursuit of the "most perfect" or "better," because on this planet, there are always more beautiful, handsome, richer or better people who fit us as a test in life.
If we let our hearts waver with the word "better" every time, we become the ones who run for endless love, and the most painful is the sentence "The size of the person who chooses himself or her hand is unstable." It reflects that the problem is not who is better than who, but the "strength" in our hearts, because those who do not respect their own decisions and do not know enough are difficult to expect true and stable love from anyone.
This short video left a big piece of thought in my mind...

ในชีวิตรักของคนเรา บ่อยครั้งที่เจอกับสถานการณ์ที่ทำให้ต้องตั้งคำถามกับตัวเองว่าความรักที่แท้จริงคืออะไร และเราควรยึดมั่นในความสัมพันธ์ที่มีหรือเปิดใจหาโอกาสใหม่ๆ เสมอไปดีหรือไม่ จากบทสนทนาในคลิปที่กล่าวถึง คนเลือกที่จะรอคำตอบว่าจะเลือกใครเมื่อพบคนที่ ‘ดีกว่า’ ผู้คนแต่ละคนมีมุมมองที่แตกต่างกันอย่างน่าสนใจ บางคนมองที่ความรู้สึก ณ ปัจจุบัน บางคนมองที่ความมั่นคงในความรัก และบางคนเน้นถึงการเป็นเจ้าของและความซื่อสัตย์ต่อการตัดสินใจของตนเอง สำหรับผมเอง ผมมองว่าความจริงแล้ว ความรักไม่ใช่การแข่งขันเพื่อค้นหาคนที่ ‘ดีกว่า’ แต่เป็นการให้ความสำคัญกับความสัมพันธ์ที่เราสร้างขึ้นอย่างจริงใจและเต็มใจ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นข้อดีข้อเสียของคู่รักก็ตาม หากหัวใจเราไม่มั่นคงและไม่มีความเคารพตัวเองในความสัมพันธ์ ก็จะยากที่จะสร้างความรักที่แท้จริงและยั่งยืนได้ คำพูดที่ว่า “ขนาดคนที่คุณเลือกมาเองกับมือ ยังไม่มีความมั่นคงในการเลือกเขาเลย” นั้นจึงเป็นเสียงเตือนให้เราหยุดคิดทบทวนความรู้สึกและการตัดสินใจของตนเองก่อนจะวิ่งตามคนใหม่หรือสิ่งใหม่ๆ ไปเรื่อยๆ นอกจากนี้ บทเรียนนี้ยังสอนเราว่าความรักที่แท้จริงต้องเริ่มจากความเชื่อมั่นในตัวเอง รู้จักพอใจและเคารพในความสัมพันธ์ที่มี หากเราสามารถตั้งมั่นจุดนี้ได้ โอกาสที่จะพบรักมั่นคงก็จะไม่ต้องพึ่งพาการค้นหา ‘คนที่ดีกว่า’ อีกต่อไป สุดท้ายนี้ อยากชวนทุกคนกลับมาฟังเสียงหัวใจตัวเอง ถ้าคุณโดนถามคำถามเดียวกันนี้ คุณจะตอบอย่างไร? คำตอบของคุณอาจสะท้อนถึงความเข้าใจในชีวิตรักและความมั่นคงใจที่แท้จริง ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ทุกคนควรใส่ใจและให้ความสำคัญมากกว่าการมองหาคนที่ ‘ดีกว่า’ เสมอไป
