We have always been instilled in us that extending help and giving someone good intentions is beautiful and something humans want to do, but as we grow older, the real world teaches us a more complex lesson..."Good hope" does not always mean that the destination will be "gratitude."
Many times we devote ourselves to doing good things for someone wholeheartedly, hoping only to get him out of trouble or a better life, but the result turns out to be what we think is a soothing drink, and it turns out to be something that they see as an encroachment on privacy, a caring warning, which is interpreted as a "mess," and in the end, we who assume the role of good-hearted people become the culprits in their story.
The heartbreaking but often tragic truth is that when someone walks in with a problem and drops of tears, the only thing he needs may be a "listener," not a "problem solver."
When people are uncomfortable, they just need a safe space to vent their heart, they do not walk to us for a life plan, do not wait for criticism, or for advice on how to improve, and we urgently find a way out for them, sometimes it becomes cramming into what we think is good, forgetting to ask...Is that what he really wants?
And the hardest lesson of being hopeful is to stand and look at someone we love or care about, walk in a path that we know is a steep cliff.
We may shout loudly to warn him, we may point out the crevices on the ground and the dangers ahead, but believe me...Some people, even if they know that the front is the abyss, they still choose to move on. They will ignore the warning and close their ears, not because they are foolish, but probably because that is the "lesson" they have chosen to face and learn.
After all, these stories do not teach us to become impatient or to stop wishing well on the planet, but they teach us the extent of good intentions.
We are still kind people who can send care to others, but only learn to "give" at the right pace, and learn to "let go." When doing our best, we must respect the decisions of others, even if the decisions interrupt us.

จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวของผม การให้ความหวังดีนั้นเป็นเรื่องละเอียดอ่อนมากกว่าแค่การมอบความช่วยเหลือ บ่อยครั้งที่เราอยากช่วยเหลือและยื่นมือเข้าไป แต่สิ่งที่ผู้รับต้องการจริง ๆ คือพื้นที่ปลอดภัยให้เขาได้ปลดปล่อยความรู้สึก ไม่ใช่คำแนะนำหรือการตักเตือนที่อาจทำให้เขารู้สึกถูกรุกล้ำ เมื่อผมเคยให้คำแนะนำคนใกล้ตัวโดยไม่ถามว่าเขาต้องการหรือไม่ ก็ได้รับการตอบรับที่ไม่คาดคิด ทั้งความเงียบหรือตอบโต้กลับ ทำให้ผมได้เรียนรู้ว่าความหวังดีต้องมากับความเข้าใจขอบเขต บางครั้งการได้อยู่ข้าง ๆ ฟังโดยไม่ตัดสิน เป็นความหวังดีที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่าการลองแก้ปัญหาให้เขา นอกจากนี้ สิ่งที่ผมเข้าใจได้คือในบางเหตุการณ์ คนที่เราห่วงใยอาจเลือกเส้นทางที่เราเห็นว่าเสี่ยงหรือผิดพลาด แต่สำหรับเขา นั่นคือบทเรียนชีวิตที่เขาต้องเผชิญด้วยตัวเอง การที่เราปล่อยให้เขาเดินหน้าต่อไปแม้จะทำใจยาก ก็แสดงความรักและเคารพการตัดสินใจของเขาอย่างแท้จริง ผมจึงเรียนรู้ว่าการรู้จักปล่อยวางหลังจากให้ความหวังดีอย่างเต็มที่ คือการดูแลที่ดีที่สุดวิธีหนึ่ง คำสอนเหล่านี้ทำให้ผมมองเห็นว่าการเป็นคนหวังดีไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นคนที่เข้าไปแก้ไขทุกเรื่อง แต่อาจเป็นเพียงคนที่คอยเตรียม "กล่องปฐมพยาบาลใจ" ไว้ให้เผื่อเวลาที่คนที่เรารักต้องล้มลง และพร้อมเป็นแรงสนับสนุนที่สำคัญเมื่อเขาต้องลุกขึ้นอีกครั้งในแบบของตัวเอง
