Week 2: Mid-week Check in

Midweek check-in. 🤍

Ironically…I’m only about 3 pounds lighter today than I was then.

If you’ve ever felt like you’ve been losing and gaining the same few pounds over and over, trust me, I get it. It’s been one of the most frustrating parts of my journey.

But this time feels different.

I’m waking up earlier without hitting snooze.

I’m getting my workouts and walks in.

Hitting 10k steps is becoming second nature.

Meal prepping doesn’t feel like a chore anymore.

Protein has become my best friend.

For the first time in a long time, I’m not just chasing a lower number on the scale.

I’m building a healthier lifestyle that I actually enjoy.

Week 2 wins:

✔️ 3 lbs down from last Wednesday

✔️ Every planned workout completed

✔️ 10k steps becoming a habit

✔️ Meal prep staying consistent

✔️ Prioritizing protein every day

... Read moreOne of the most eye-opening parts of my health journey has been learning that consistent habits truly outweigh daily fluctuations on the scale. For me, waking up earlier without hitting snooze has set a positive tone for the whole day, increasing my energy and motivation. Incorporating regular workouts and walks naturally fits into my routine when I focus on enjoying the process rather than forcing it. Reaching 10,000 steps a day has not only improved my fitness but also given me mental clarity and stress relief. It’s become a habit that feels effortless because I’ve made small adjustments, like taking short walking breaks and enjoying time outdoors. Meal prepping used to feel overwhelming, but turning it into a creative and mindful practice transformed it into enjoyable 'me-time.' I now see protein not just as a dietary necessity but as a valuable friend that supports my muscle recovery and keeps me fuller longer throughout the day. Most importantly, stepping away from obsessing over the scale’s number shift has allowed me to celebrate wins like consistency and energy improvements. The scale is finally moving, but the habits are what I’m most proud of. This approach keeps me motivated and confident that I’m building a healthier lifestyle that's sustainable and truly enjoyable, not just a temporary fix.
