This shampoo consistency is very nice easy to wash hair with and the scent of this product is very pleasant smell. My hair felt so clean and nourished I would definitely recommend then this packaging is so cute, still I think the product is kind of overpriced I was sent this product complimentary for my honest review and opinion by @influenster @mielle
... Read moreI've been on the hunt for a shampoo that truly cleanses without stripping, and the Mielle Lavender & Lychee Scalp Moisturizing Shampoo caught my eye. From the first pump, I noticed its luxurious consistency – not too thick, not too runny. It lathers beautifully with just a small amount, creating a rich foam that felt incredibly satisfying as I massaged it into my scalp. This made it super easy to distribute and work through my hair, especially helpful for someone with textured hair like mine, ensuring every strand felt addressed without excessive effort.
And oh, the scent! It’s a delicate blend of lavender and lychee, not overpowering at all. It smells fresh and subtly sweet, making my shower feel like a mini-spa experience. The fragrance lingers lightly in my hair afterward, which I absolutely adore – it's subtle enough not to clash with other products but noticeable enough to give a pleasant whiff throughout the day.
My hair honestly felt so clean afterward, but not that squeaky-clean, stripped feeling I sometimes get. Instead, it felt genuinely nourished and surprisingly soft. My scalp, which can sometimes get a bit dry and itchy, felt incredibly hydrated and refreshed – truly living up to its 'scalp moisturizing' claim. I didn't experience any tightness or irritation, which is a huge win for my sensitive scalp. After rinsing, my hair still felt incredibly soft and manageable, not tangled or stiff, making detangling much easier than usual. It really sets a great foundation for conditioning and styling.
Speaking of first impressions, the packaging is indeed adorable and visually appealing, just as mentioned in the original review. It looks great in my shower and the pump dispenser is practical, though I do agree that at around the $16 mark per bottle (as I've seen Mielle products priced, and the OCR mentioned the "$16" tag on some items from the line), it feels a little on the pricier side for a shampoo. While it performs wonderfully, I had to ask myself if the results truly justified the cost. For me, the feeling of clean, deeply moisturized hair and a happy, calm scalp makes it a splurge I might consider again, especially since a little goes a long way due to its rich lather. I usually only need one pump for my medium-length hair.
If you're someone struggling with a dry or sensitive scalp, or if you simply want a shampoo that leaves your hair feeling incredibly soft, manageable, and smelling divine without harsh chemicals, this Mielle Lavender & Lychee shampoo is definitely worth looking into. It’s part of a broader line – I noticed there are also corresponding conditioners, scalp lotions, and build-up removers in the Lavender & Lychee series. Using the full system could potentially enhance the benefits even further, especially for targeted scalp care. Even though it was a complimentary product from Influenster, my review is truly honest. I'm genuinely impressed with how my hair and scalp reacted. It’s a lovely product that delivers on its promises for a clean, nourished, and sweet-smelling result. It might be a bit of an investment, but the quality speaks for itself.
