The way to an independent mind.
The free mind does not mean an undisputed life, but one that is not dominated by greed, anger, obsession, and is not enslaved by the emotions that occur each day.
1. Conscious
Consciousness is remembering the present, not letting the mind drift with the past or worry about the future. When conscious, we see everything more realistically.
2. Know immediately
Observe what the mind is thinking at the moment, what it feels like, what it is attached to or what it is relegating, and cognition is the beginning of change, because what is known does not easily dominate us.
3. Let go
Letting go is not the abandonment of duty, but the laying down of a firm hold. When not carrying something out of control, the heart is light and comfortable and ready to move on.
4. Accept the truth
Life encounters happiness and suffering, fulfillment and disappointment. Accepting the truth does not make us weak, but makes us strong enough to live with change in peace.
5. Living with wisdom
Wisdom lets us know what to seize, what to let go, what to say, what to be silent, when we have wisdom, we choose to respond with reason instead of emotional retaliation.
The independent mind is not caused by controlling the world, but by understanding one's own mind; when one is conscious, aware, lets go, accepts the truth, and lives with wisdom, true peace gradually appears from within one's heart.
