Not playing this year
Taking a break from activities that once brought joy can sometimes lead to deeper self-reflection. This year, I decided to pause and evaluate my personal journey away from the hustle and bustle of everyday commitments. Focusing on mental health and well-being is becoming increasingly accepted in our fast-paced society, where individuals often feel pressured to maintain their involvement. By sharing my experience, I aim to highlight the importance of recognizing one's limits and prioritizing self-care over societal expectations. It's essential to understand that stepping back does not equate to failure. In fact, it often allows for a rejuvenation process where individuals can rediscover their passions and better align them with their current values. As community discussions around wellness continue to grow, I encourage others to reflect on their own commitments and consider whether a break might be beneficial. Whether through journaling, engaging in new hobbies, or simply taking time to relax, exploring new avenues for growth during this hiatus can yield surprising insights. Ultimately, my absence is filled with growth opportunities that will pave the way for a more engaged return when the time is right.
