Where are the real people here?

Why is it very challenging to find genuine people here online? What's stopping you from calling people directly on the phone, and you would prefer text, while hiding yourself behind the keyboard with sweet words of trust? Why do you recommend Signal or Telegram, but you can call someone directly and talk to him or her so that you can verify if she is fake or real? Does the image prove that someone is real? This application has got a lot of people whose phones are not working and it's broken, the camera needs to be fixed 😆😆😆. Scammers give us a break. I am looking for real and genuine people with whom we can have a long and meaningful conversation. What do you think about this, and do you have the same experience?

Many users prefer texting over direct phone calls, often because messaging offers a sense of safety and control, allowing one to carefully craft responses and hide behind the screen. However, this anonymity can also attract scammers and fake profiles that make it difficult to build real trust. Messaging apps like Signal and Telegram are often recommended for their privacy features, but relying solely on text doesn't guarantee authenticity. A simple image or well-written message isn’t enough proof that someone is genuine, especially when many profiles have broken phones or faulty cameras, which sometimes hint at dishonesty or incomplete effort to reveal oneself. One practical approach to finding real connections is to incorporate voice or video calls early in conversations. Hearing a person’s voice or seeing their expressions adds layers of credibility that text alone cannot provide. It also helps reduce misunderstandings and builds emotional rapport faster. Additionally, being mindful of red flags—such as avoidance of direct contact, inconsistent stories, or refusing to share real-time interactions—can protect against scams. Engaging in communities or platforms that encourage transparent interactions and verified profiles may also increase chances of meeting authentic people. Ultimately, the path to meaningful online relationships requires patience, caution, and a willingness to step out from behind keyboards. Genuine connections thrive when people choose honesty and openness over convenience. What strategies have you found effective in identifying real people online? Sharing your experience can help others navigate this digital landscape with more confidence and security.
