CHARLOTTE, NC 🌆Unfiltered minds: it’s a mental health open mic and I’ve been traveling the nation in 2026 hosting these events in hope of redefining what it means to talk about how you feel.
Because I think it’s amazing, beautiful and sexy. Hence my slogan “say how you feel, it’s sexy.” 🤍
And when you come to my event you can leave with a letter of hope that someone from a previous stop wrote you and you can write a letter to someone at a future stop.
My second to last stop of 2026 is in Charlotte, NC next week (May 5). There are just 9 spots left and I won’t be back to host in #CLT until 2027 (bittersweet).
Come to share or come to listen, come with friends or come alone, just come 🫂

Attending a mental health open mic like Unfiltered Minds offers a beautifully unique way to connect with others about feelings that are often hard to express. I’ve personally found that these open mic events create a safe and supportive space where vulnerability is encouraged and celebrated. The slogan "say how you feel, it’s sexy" perfectly captures the empowering atmosphere. One of the most touching parts of these events is the exchange of letters of hope. Imagine receiving a heartfelt message from a stranger who truly understands your struggles—it’s a powerful reminder that you are not alone. Writing a letter to someone at a future stop not only fosters a sense of community but also allows you to contribute to someone else’s healing journey. If you’ve never attended a mental health event like this before, it might feel intimidating, but the organizers ensure that whether you come to share or just to listen, you are welcomed warmly. The live elements—music by @candlerricemusic, DJ sets by @thefamous.experience, and live painting by @copeley_designs_art—create a vibrant, soothing environment that enriches the experience beyond just spoken words. Traveling the nation in 2026, Unfiltered Minds is redefining the way mental health conversations happen by making them open, honest, and even celebratory. The event’s presence in Charlotte this year marks a bittersweet moment, as it won’t return until 2027, making it a special opportunity to engage in a meaningful way. From my experience, events like this are more than just gatherings—they spark real emotional healing and connections that linger long after the mic is off. If you’re in Charlotte on May 5, don’t hesitate to attend. Come with friends or alone, share your truth or simply listen. Either way, you’ll leave feeling seen, heard, and hopeful.
