For instance, the Singapore Night Festival offers over 80 immersive experiences, which is perfect for anyone looking to capture spectacular photos or enjoy live performances under the theme “Island Nights.” It really felt magical wandering through the festival villages filled with food and music. The Bugis Night Lights event is another highlight, especially if you love retro themes. You can actually get a hair tinsel makeover or have your caricature drawn, which made my night super fun and interactive. It’s like stepping back into the 80s while soaking in neon lights and live tarot readings! On 23 August, Monster Jam at the National Stadium is a unique spectacle if you're into jaw-dropping stunts. Watching those 12,000lb trucks defy gravity was an adrenaline rush for me and my friends. For a more relaxing activity, the aromatherapy workshop at CHIJMES or Capitol Singapore lets you create your own essential oil blend inspired by local elements, which is a thoughtful souvenir after spending a minimum amount. Don’t miss the Food Truck City Tours starting at Ocean Financial Centre, serving mouthwatering dishes like salted egg chicken tacos and laksa with abalone. It’s a food lover’s dream and a great way to sample authentic flavors on the go. Lastly, the Bamboo Grove at Changi Airport is a breath of fresh air—literally! It’s the world’s first outdoor bamboo garden in an airport, inspired by Kyoto’s bamboo forest. Walking through this 526 sqm garden was surprisingly calming and a sweet escape right before or after your flight. By following @districtsixtyfive, you can stay updated on these events and find hidden gems around Singapore. It’s been a fun way to discover what’s happening locally and plan my weekends around the best activities.
