Nerves and migraines?

Did you know? Your brainstem is like a control tower for pain, nerve control and blood flow.

When the atlas bone is out of alignment, it puts extra irritation here — often leading to migraine flare-ups.

... Read moreFrom my personal experience dealing with migraines, understanding the connection between the brainstem and migraine symptoms has been eye-opening. The brainstem indeed serves as a critical hub that manages pain signals, nerve function, and blood flow, which are all factors influencing migraine intensity. I noticed that when my neck alignment was off, especially around the upper cervical region where the atlas bone sits, my migraine episodes worsened significantly. This irritation near the brainstem seems to amplify the pain signals and trigger inflammation. After exploring chiropractic care focused on upper cervical adjustments, I found relief that traditional medications hadn’t provided. These adjustments target the atlas misalignment gently, reducing nerve irritation and improving blood flow to the brainstem area. As a result, the frequency and severity of migraines decreased noticeably. I also learned that maintaining good posture and avoiding prolonged neck strain can help minimize atlas misalignment. Regular check-ups with a chiropractor experienced in upper cervical techniques can make a significant difference for chronic migraine sufferers. Overall, this approach offers a natural and non-invasive way to manage migraines by addressing their root neurological causes.
