Birthday Week Self Care
It’s exactly one week before your birthday. A lot of people get really stressed out about a day that reminds you you’re a year older. There are so many things that you process , digest, and reflect about the previous year you just lived. Did you complete your goals? Did you find love? Did you take that vacation or even retire? Birthdays will remind you the good and the bad of the previous year.
With that being said this year we are going to prep for a strong and ambitious, adventurous , accomplishing year. Next year there will be no question for the things we want and how we want to feel. Let’s start today 💕
First things first: 1. Journaling: it’s important to remember how good or bad you felt about where you are in life. Now it’s time to change or continue your journey they way you want it. Life is so precious and short, we consume so much in a day. Journaling will help clear your thoughts, remember the important, fun, and painful times, and you can see the progress of your work and overall life. Write out your goals, finances, manifest everything you want in this journal.
2. This week you will do the things you love. I know all of us want to take that trip to Bora Bora but whatever you do make sure it’s within reason and won’t put you off to a bad start for your new birth year. Focus on the things that you really need right now.
3. You know that lifestyle you live in your head? Wake up early, exercise outside, meal prep, traveling… begin living it today. Take one thing a day or a week that you want to change about your life and begin making it apart of your routine. Remember it takes 21 days to make a habit. The life you want and deserve is at the palm of your hands. It starts with putting those thoughts to action.
4. Playlist: make a playlist of all your favorite songs that has ever brought you joy. Think about tv shows or movies that had a funny part and watch them. The point here is to bring as much dopamine in your life as possible. This week it’s about you. Only focus on the things you deeply love and enjoy. If you don’t have anything to grasp, search for something new. Try something new.
5. Detox: we endure so much and put so much on our bodies. Your birthday is the perfect time to detox out all the bad, bad habits, bad foods, people that have treated us wrong, triggers and anything that can hinder your thoughts. Detox your brain as well. Anything that has hurt you or upset you, write down and then burn it. You no longer need those painful things hindering you beyond your years.
The goal for the week of your birthday personally is to celebrate you. You have been through so much. It’s time to say Happy Birthday and thank you for the lessons. Thank you for waking up to try again another day. Thank you for giving me experiences, good and bad, to build my character to prepare me for my focus.
Follow me this week for my birthday purge. Out with the old and bad and in with the great and new.
Great day to you all #selfcare #birthday #mindset #newme #birthdaygoals #reflection #djladyle #triceybtrippin
Hey everyone! I totally get it – birthdays can sometimes feel like a lot of pressure, making us reflect on everything we did or didn't do. But what if we flipped that script? This year, I’m embracing the week leading up to my birthday as a dedicated self-care journey, and I want to share a few extra tips to make yours even more powerful. First off, let’s talk about that detox. My original post mentioned it, but I really want to dive deeper because it's been a game-changer for me. Beyond just clearing out bad habits and negative thoughts, I've found that supporting my body physically makes a huge difference in my energy and mindset. For a natural cleanse that helps my body reset, I focus on specific foods that aid my liver, kidneys, and intestines. For liver support, I consistently try to incorporate dandelion and artichoke into my diet, often through teas or supplements. When it comes to kidney health, things like horsetail tea and plenty of pure fruit juices (like cranberry or apple detox) are fantastic. And for my intestines, I swear by fiber-rich foods – think oats, flax seeds, and even a psyllium husk supplement. Adding probiotics and fermented foods helps maintain a healthy gut flora, which is crucial for overall well-being. Don't forget the powerhouses like ginger and garlic for their anti-inflammatory benefits, and green tea for its antioxidants. Even simple things like drinking plenty of water with citrus fruits and making fresh green smoothies with spinach, beets, and carrots can make a huge impact. This isn't about deprivation; it's about nourishing your body to feel its best! Moving on to journaling – it’s not just about writing goals! I use this time to truly connect with my inner self. Try these prompts: What were my biggest lessons this past year? What moments brought me genuine joy? What am I ready to release? And what feeling do I want to cultivate more of in the year ahead? Seeing your thoughts on paper brings so much clarity. For doing the things you love, remember it doesn't have to break the bank or require a flight to Bora Bora. It could be as simple as spending an hour painting, taking a long, uninterrupted bubble bath, exploring a new walking trail, or finally finishing that book that's been sitting on your nightstand. The goal is pure, unadulterated joy that recharges your spirit. That dream lifestyle you 'live in your head' – let's make it real, one tiny step at a time! Instead of saying, 'I'll wake up early every day,' try 'I'll set my alarm 15 minutes earlier just three days this week to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee.' Or 'I'll incorporate one new vegetable into dinner tonight.' Small, consistent actions build incredible habits. And finally, the joy playlist! This is seriously underrated. Mine includes not just upbeat music, but also funny podcasts, stand-up comedy clips, or even revisiting favorite movie scenes that make me laugh out loud. It’s about intentionally flooding your brain with dopamine. If you don't have a go-to, try searching for 'feel-good' playlists or comedies online. You deserve all the good vibes! Embrace this special week. It’s your time to reflect, reset, and truly celebrate the incredible journey you're on. Happy almost-birthday!
