✍️ The Only Thing I’ve Managed to Stick With

I’m not a patient person.

But over the years, there’s one thing I’ve somehow kept doing — writing and journaling.

Not because of deep passion, but because half of it is work, and the other half is comfort.

Putting things into words simply calms me down.

Here’s how I’ve been practicing to express myself better:

🧠 Logic Training

Behind every clear and convincing expression lies solid reasoning.

I recommend The Pyramid Principle — it’s enough for workplace writing and structured thinking.

After reading, try breaking down any article using logical architecture:

👉 How it starts, how it unfolds, how it closes.

✍️ Writing Practice

Write 500 words a day — diary, reflection, anything. Even once every two days, even just 100 words. Don’t drain your energy; focus on consistency.

✂️ Rewriting Practice

Editing is where growth happens.

Revise your piece three times:

1️⃣ First, cut — the simpler, the better.

2️⃣ Second, read aloud — fix what sounds unnatural.

3️⃣ Third, revise again a week later — you’ll see it differently.

🎤 Speaking Practice

Spend 15 minutes before bed recording yourself.

Talk about something from today — a story, a restaurant you want to try, a show you loved.

Follow a full structure: Fact + Feeling + Thought.

Then listen back. You’ll spot patterns and gain self-awareness.

It’s surprisingly soothing too.

📚 Deep Reading

True “close reading,” as Mo Yan once said, is when you no longer read like a consumer of stories, but as a writer in training — aware of rhythm, word choice, and sentence craft.

You start seeing how things are written, not just what they say.

🎧 Aesthetic Growth

Books are the best teachers, but podcasts and interviews work too.

Writers and hosts with depth of expression can help refine your own way of thinking and speaking.

Writing may not make life easier,

but it always makes it clearer.
