Starting Ballet at 24🩰
I’ve always wanted to do dance but my parents didn’t have the money/resources to do so while I was growing up. I remember they tried putting me into ballet when I was 5 but then we ended up moving and couldn’t find an affordable studio afterwards. When I was in high school I took the school offered classes, which were fun, but again I couldn’t properly build upon my technique. Now that I have a full-time job I can use my money to do the activities I’ve always wanted to do.
I started this past February and I’ve been going not only to ballet but also jazz and hip-hop weekly. I was so nervous because I thought I was too old to get into it but thankfully a local studio offered adult classes. I live in a small town though so not many people attend the classes but I see the upside of it because I feel like I get more corrections and focus on what I personally need to improve on.
My main takeaway is that you’re never too old to do things and you should just do what you want because you only experience life once!💞
