💻 "Architect" life review that doesn't sit and draw! What are you doing? Are you tired? Survive?

Hello everyone! ✨ Has anyone graduated from architecture, but when we do real work, it feels like, "We may not be an overnight spinner or staring at the CAD / Revit screen all day"? 🙋‍♂️

Today I want to share the other side of life of the architect-turned-developer on the Project Development (PD) team, saying that life has changed at different extremes, but it's fun and challenging! 🚀

🔥 What does the main function of "project development line architect" do?

If the Design Firm is the creator, the developer like us is the "overview and driver of the project," the task of each day will not catch the pen mouse, but will focus on these things instead:

Feasibility Study & Concept: Work with the Investment Team. See the feasibility of the project. From free land, what to do, what style of hotel, resort, how much Budget, how much construction timeline to answer business problems and the best value.

Design Management: We do not design ourselves, but we work with design Firm architects to monitor and adjust the design to meet the company's standards and budgets, such as luxury room condensation or major hotel rebranding.

Sustainability & Standards: This era is not enough to build buildings alone. We also need to think about the world! Our job is to bring projects to international standards such as LEED or GSTC for sustainability and environmental protection. 🍃

Coordinating: It's the center of the universe! You need to talk to all parties, from design teams, construction teams, suppliers, to senior management, clear up the front page problems and check neatness (for example, the Sample Room / Mock-up Room is one of the highlights that needs to be very detailed).

Work-Life Balance is better: (depending on the project range, 😆) but overall work time is somewhat more systematic than in the design office, not often debated.
