My Updated Shower routine 🥥💦🍃
Hello! Long time no see! I’m so excited to get back to making content! Thank you guys for your endless support and patience. 🩵🩵
Here is my updated shower routine as a working uni student!
1. Body Wash
- I use two body washes, one for shaving (Dove) and one for cleansing (Sundae)
- This Sundae one is a new addition and unpopular opinion, I love the scent. Many people don’t like the coconut cream but it’s so gourmand. I always feel so clean after using it and its scent isn’t too strong for me. I really want to try the vanilla but that will be once I run out of this one cause they are RIDICULOUSLY expensive
2. Shampoo and Condition
- This one is actually out of order. I double shampoo, THEN hair mask and detangle, THEN conditioner. Oh well haha.
- My mama got me these for Christmas (I can’t afford them on my own) and they have changed my hair for the better. I’ve never had hair this soft, voluminous, and healthy
3. Mask and Detangle
- I kind of feel like this one is self explanatory. Leave the mask in for 10 minutes and detangle. Typically I actually do the mask on days when I blow out my hair or do an everything shower. So it depends on whether or not I am wearing my hair curly if I use just the mask, just the conditioner, or both.
4. Exfoliate and Shave
- I’m not going to lie, tree hut irritates my skin like CRAZY. But I have a whole tub of this cookie one and I don’t want to waste it. I only am brave enough to use it on my legs. It feels like I am grating my skin.
- I like these flamingo razors tho! Been my go-to since 2022 ish. I shave pits daily, NOT legs. Again, my legs be sensitive so to get the most buttery soft shave, I wait a few days in-between.
5. Curl Cream and Gel
- I could do a whole separate Blow-out routine but I just went with my curly routine for this post. I feel like I need a separate dedicated post for a blow out alone (so many steps dear lord). Also self explanatory here whoops. I rake the cream through SOAKING wet hair, then lightly coat my hair with gel, and then scrunch.
6. Body lotion and Cream\
- Ok wait this looks like a lot, I promise I don’t use all at once. I usually go in with a lotion on the whole body, THEN a body butter to lock in moisture and scent. Body butters are typically thicker and contain oils, so I only use them on the upper half of my body. My legs are ALLERGIC to coconut oil (why do my legs hate me), so this routine works best for me. These are just a few butters I have, a little goes a long way. I actually just bought the EOS one since my Josie Marin is almost done and repurchasing would be PAINFUL to my bank account LOL.
7. Skincare
- I keep it simple now. I used to do a lot and my skin was so so glowy…then I switched to using tretinoin……….my skin is so dry and sensitive now. Its cleared my skin beautifully and controlled my acne, definitely helped my confidence, but I now need a pretty minimalist routine (fine by me though, saves me money and time). My skin has never been happier.
8. Brush teeth
- Need I say more. I ran out of my typical whitening paste and I would repurchase it but I have this entire tube. So Im going to go through my backup tube until I have time to repurchase my usual one.
9. Deodorant
- In one of my first posts I had some comments mad I use old spice. I know it’s given some people chemical burns and what not. It low-key did for me too, and I switched to natural of a year. HOWEVER, I HATED natural. I always felt wet, even after the “detox” phase. It STAYED wet, and would create a coat on all of my clothes. I tried so many brands too. Saltair was the best natural I used, and even that was just bad. I eventually got tired of feeling sticky all the time and switched back to good ole’ old spice. It works for me, haven’t had a reaction since (it’s been like 2.5 years).
I guess as a cute reminder, I am never trying to sell you guys anything. Nor dictate what you should or shouldn’t do. Everything that I post is either personal preference, me sharing an experience/opinion, or advice. You are your own individual!!!!! Make decisions that are right for you and feel comfortable to share your opinion, respectfully tho. My biggest pet peeve is when people treat my posts like law. They aren’t law silly, it’s for fun! If you don’t agree thats fine but please dont bash me for “telling people they have to do this to be *blank*”. Suggestions, opinions, and advice are just friendly coming from me.
