Visited Lazarus Island recently and it was my third time visiting the beautiful island with PRISTINE WATERS you don’t see elsewhere in Singapore. The second time i went the water was a lil murky maybe because it was a weekday and there were many yachts but when i went on a wednesday, wow I COULD SEE SO MUCH.
just wanted to share a little tip for anyone planning a trip to Lazarus Island - take the Marina South Ferry! 🚤 There are 2 ferry services and although the other is a little cheaper by 70 cents and has a $3 gongcha voucher, it only brings u to st john and back from there. Both ferries are double deckered with an open deck so feel the breeze and enjoy the view…
It’s totally worth it if you're with a big group or just don't want to deal with the hassle of walking back and forth since all ferries depart from st john island.
So if you're planning a trip to Lazarus Island, consider taking the Marina South Ferry! Trust me, it'll save you a lot of time and energy, and you'll get to enjoy the journey as well as the destination. 😉

✧˖° come on the weekday, you pretty much get the whole trip to yourself!
✧˖° the areas near the breakwater have the softest sand and still waters to see animals! (we saw cuttlefish!)
✧˖° sun protection… is rly important…
✧˖° reduce your waste! There aren’t many bins on the island and even if they do, the monkeys will attack them so be mindful!
✧˖° bored of the island already? Head to kusu island (during october!) as it is pilgrimage season and thats when the island comes to life!! (read the ST article by my amazing friends online omo omo) Other times, its usually just tortoises haha

Don't forget to bring sun protection gear—hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses—as the island is quite exposed and the sun can be strong. One practical tip: minimize waste and carry your trash with you. There are very few bins on the island, and monkeys are known to rummage through them if they exist, creating a mess. If you get tired of Lazarus, consider hopping over to Kusu Island, especially during October when pilgrimage season brings vibrant cultural activities. At other times, you’ll mostly find the friendly giant tortoises roaming around.
