This concept applies not just in friendships but in all relationships, including family and romantic ones. It helped me stop making excuses for others who claimed they were 'too busy.' Instead, I focused on valuing those who actively engage and reciprocate. Receiving a simple text, call, or reply means someone took a moment out of their life to show they care. Additionally, embracing this mindset encourages healthier communication and boundaries. It taught me to invest my time and energy in people who truly appreciate it rather than chasing after those who don't prioritize me. Ultimately, this has improved my self-worth and helped build more meaningful connections.
