Despite most people who watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean thinking the second cour was the worst, I think it was the best. It had some of the best arcs, including Ermes vs. Sports Maxx.

When I first heard the general consensus about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean's second cour, I was genuinely surprised. Many seemed to write it off as the weakest part, but honestly? For me, it was where the series truly hit its stride and delivered some of the most memorable moments. I remember watching it unfold, glued to my screen, thinking 'Why are people sleeping on this?!' One of the absolute standout Stone Ocean arcs that cemented the second cour's greatness in my mind has to be Ermes Costello vs. Sports Maxx. Talk about a masterclass in tension and character focus! Ermes's backstory and her drive for revenge were so compelling. Her Stand, Kiss, was used incredibly creatively against Sports Maxx's Limp Bizkit, making for some truly bizarre and thrilling battles. The animation for that fight, especially, was just *chef's kiss*. It perfectly captured the raw emotion and strategic thinking that makes JoJo fights so iconic. Beyond that pivotal confrontation, the second cour really shone a spotlight on our incredible JoJo Part 6 characters. Jolyne Cujoh, for instance, undergoes such phenomenal growth. Her journey from a seemingly ordinary inmate to a determined hero, willing to sacrifice everything, is just so inspiring. I particularly love how her string ability, Stone Free, evolves and becomes more versatile throughout her battles. There's that one Jolyne Cujoh Stone Ocean anime scene where she's using her strings to navigate a tricky situation, possibly even on a dark staircase like the one in that iconic image – it really showcases her ingenuity and determination. And let's not forget F.F.! This character quickly became one of my favorites. Their unique nature and fierce loyalty added such a fantastic dynamic to the group. Seeing F.F. in the background, always alert and ready to protect their friends, was a constant reassurance. The bond between Jolyne, Ermes Costello, and F.F. felt so authentic and was a huge part of what made the second cour so emotionally resonant. It's not just about the main trio either; delving into some of the jojo part 6 background characters and how they influenced the plot added so much depth to the overall narrative. Many of the jojo part 6 arcs in this section felt incredibly impactful, pushing the boundaries of what we expect from a JoJo installment. From the psychological warfare to the desperate escapes, every episode felt like it was building towards something massive. If you’re looking to revisit JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6, I highly recommend giving the second cour another chance. Don't let initial reviews sway you; experience the incredible character developments, the unique Stand battles, and the sheer audacity of its storytelling for yourself. It truly deserves more love and recognition as one of the best JoJo Part 6 anime experiences!
