likely the most unconventional love story....

you probably haven’t heard of anything nearly as funky as our love story...

dating apps clearly didn't get an edge on us. it all started with a harmless tiktok post where i jokingly asked people to fill in a “gf application form”. it wasn’t meant to be serious at all. but overnight, the video somehow blew up with comments, jokes, and applications i never expected to see.

out of pure courtesy (and curiosity), i started reaching out to thank people for taking the time to fill it up. one of those “applications” stood out. plot twist: she didn’t even fill it up herself. her friends did. but somehow, we clicked instantly.

what started as a simple thank-you text turned into long conversations, late replies, and way too many laughs. days passed, the chats never stopped, and before i knew it, i found myself wanting to know her more than anyone else.

i’m really glad i took that chance and asked her out on our first date. because fast forward to today, that silly joke turned into something very real, very special, and easily one of the best decisions i’ve ever made.

sometimes, the best love stories don’t start with “looking for love” at all 🤍

... Read moreWhen I first posted the playful girlfriend application on TikTok, I never imagined it would catch so much attention or lead me to someone special. The responses were amusing, with people treating it as a fun challenge rather than a serious dating method. However, one application caught my eye—not because the applicant filled it herself, but because her friends did it on her behalf. That quirky detail sparked my curiosity and led to meaningful conversations that flowed effortlessly. Our experience highlights how creative approaches to dating, including unconventional methods like funny application forms, can break the ice and spark unexpected connections. It's a refreshing reminder that love doesn't always arise from traditional dating apps or setups. Sometimes, simply being authentic and playful online can open doors to real relationships. For those considering similar playful dating tactics, my advice is to embrace the moment without pressure and stay open to where the interaction leads. The key is genuine communication and enjoying the process—whether it’s through humor, honesty, or even unexpected applications. This experience taught me that taking chances and engaging warmly with people online can be surprisingly rewarding, making for a unique and memorable love story.

A good friend recently asked me for advice on how to reject a wedding invite. She was actually available on that date, but didn’t want to spend $200+ on an ang bao (it's really quite expensive these days to attend) 💸 At the same time, she didn’t want to ruin the friendship or be upfront abou

Unconventional things I do on first dates 🚩🌸
During my mid to late 20s, I didn’t enjoy dating. I just genuinely felt like it was so draining, but somehow I still managed to get married to a wonderful person 🤣 it’s a miracle I was also experiencing a lot of 桃花运🌸 / romantic luck, which was not a good thing for me because it compounded my men

Ever since we shared that our wedding celebration will be in Ha Long Bay, we’ve received so many questions. “Why Ha Long Bay?” “Why Vietnam?” “Is one of you Vietnamese?” “Why not just have a hotel banquet in Singapore like everyone else?” “Isn’t overseas logistics a nightmare?” I get it —
