Men it’s okay to feel

6/22 Edited to

... Read moreThroughout my journey supporting men’s mental health, I’ve seen firsthand how societal expectations can pressure men to suppress their feelings, leading to increased anxiety, depression, and isolation. It’s important to recognize that experiencing emotions is not a weakness but a natural and healthy human experience. Men often face unique challenges in opening up about mental health due to fears of judgment or appearing 'unmanly.' However, breaking this stereotype is crucial. Simple acts like sharing feelings with trusted friends, seeking professional help, or even allowing yourself to cry can be powerful steps toward healing. I recommend engaging in self-care routines that nurture both mind and body, such as regular exercise, mindfulness practices, and connecting with supportive communities. Additionally, educating oneself about mental health can empower men to identify signs of struggle early and seek appropriate resources. Encouraging conversations around men’s emotions fosters an environment where vulnerability is seen as strength rather than a flaw. By supporting each other openly without belittling or silencing, we can help create a healthier, more compassionate society where everyone feels safe to express their true feelings.

If you feel like you’re in a constant battle, take heart. The enemy doesn't waste his weapons on people who aren't going anywhere. You are a threat to the darkness because of the light God put inside you. Stay in prayer, stay in the Word, and keep your head up. You’re being tested because y
