Hey everyone! I just had to share more about my latest Disney park adventure, where I sported this super fun Oogie Boogie inspired makeup. If you're anything like me, you love adding a little bit of character magic to your trips, and Oogie Boogie is such an iconic villain to draw inspiration from! When I decided on an Oogie Boogie look, I knew I wanted something distinct but also practical for a full day at the park. My goal was to capture his spooky, burlap sack vibe without going full costume, so makeup was key! First things first, finding the right base color was crucial. I opted for a vibrant lime green face paint – not too dark, so it still felt a bit playful. I applied it evenly, making sure to get good coverage, but leaving my under-eye area a bit lighter for comfort and to avoid creasing. Next up, the stitches! This is where the real Oogie Boogie magic happens. I used a fine-tipped black liquid eyeliner for precision. Starting from my forehead and extending down my cheeks, I drew jagged, uneven lines to mimic the seams of his sack. Don't worry about perfection; Oogie Boogie is all about that rustic, slightly haphazard charm! Then, I added small, horizontal dashes across these lines to create the stitched effect. For his mouth, I went for a wide, slightly sinister grin, again with jagged stitches. I kept my own eyebrows natural or just lightly filled them in to avoid too much distraction from the main design. For my eyes, I wanted them to pop without being too complex. A simple black winged liner worked perfectly, and I added a touch of green eyeshadow on my lids to tie it all together with the face paint. A generous coat of black mascara completed the eye look. And let's not forget the accessories! While the makeup is the star, the ear headband I found on Etsy truly elevated the whole ensemble. It had little Oogie Boogie details that perfectly complemented my face paint. When planning your Disney-inspired look, always think about how accessories can enhance your theme. Maybe a themed t-shirt, some fun socks, or even a small prop! A big tip for wearing makeup at Disney: setting spray is your best friend! After all that effort, you want your Oogie Boogie makeup to stay put through rides, heat, and maybe even a little rain. I applied a generous amount of long-lasting setting spray, and it definitely helped my look last from rope drop to fireworks. Also, consider bringing blotting papers for touch-ups, especially if you're prone to oiliness. This Oogie Boogie makeup was such a hit at the park, and I felt so much joy seeing other Disney fans recognize the character! It's such a creative way to express your love for Disney without wearing a full costume, which can be uncomfortable or not allowed for adults in certain areas of the park. Whether you're heading to Disneyland, Disney World, or any Disney-themed event, an Oogie Boogie inspired look is a fantastic choice for adding a touch of spooky fun. I highly recommend giving it a try for your next visit, especially if you're going during Halloween season! It’s surprisingly simple to achieve and makes for unforgettable photos.
