Utah 📍

... Read moreWow, if you've ever thought about visiting the Bonneville Salt Flats, just do it! It's hands down one of the most surreal and breathtaking places I've ever seen in Utah. Standing on that endless white expanse, it truly feels like you're on another planet. But what's really amazing is that the adventure doesn't stop with just seeing the flats. So many people ask, 'What else is there to do near Bonneville Salt Flats?' and I'm here to spill my favorite tips and activities for making the most of your trip! First off, you absolutely have to drive on the salt. It's an incredible sensation to be on such a flat, open surface. Just remember to drive slowly and be respectful of the environment. Imagine capturing those unique perspective shots – it's a photographer's dream! The reflections, especially after a rain shower, are just out of this world. I spent hours just trying to get the perfect shot of the vast horizon meeting the sky. Beyond driving and photography, one of the most underrated activities here is stargazing. Because the flats are so remote and far from city lights, the night sky is absolutely phenomenal. I packed a blanket and some snacks and just laid back, watching the Milky Way stretch across the sky. It was an incredibly peaceful and awe-inspiring experience that I highly recommend. It makes you feel so small in the best possible way. If you're looking for something a bit more structured or need amenities, the nearest town is West Wendover, Nevada, which is just a short drive away. Here you can find hotels, restaurants, and even a few casinos if you're feeling lucky. It’s a convenient spot to refuel and relax after a day out on the flats. While not directly "on" the flats, it's the practical hub for anyone exploring the area. Another hidden gem, though a bit further, is the opportunity for some unique desert hiking. While the flats themselves are flat, the surrounding mountains offer a different kind of beauty. Always check local conditions and trails before heading out, as weather can change quickly. My biggest tip for visiting? Come prepared! Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, sunglasses (the glare can be intense!), and snacks. Wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting salty. The best time to visit is often in the spring or fall when temperatures are milder. Summers can be scorching, and winter can be very cold, sometimes with standing water. Visiting the Bonneville Salt Flats isn't just about seeing a landmark; it's about creating an unforgettable memory. As the saying goes, 'THE BEST WAY TO PREDICT THE FUTURE IS TO CREATE IT.' And creating your own adventure here is definitely the best way to experience it. So pack your bags, charge your camera, and get ready for an extraordinary journey to Utah's salt wonderland!

📍Must visit park in Utah
📍Quail Creek State Park sits in Hurricane, Utah and is not far from Zion National Park. It’s a great place to cool off in the summer or makes a quiet and peaceful spot to camp in the winter months! It’s also a great place to fish, especially in the colder winter months when the water is colder.
