Salon or Clinic?

I’m looking to get laser hair removal done on my legs and have the option to either go to a salon or a medical clinic in town that specializes in this. I’ve read online that I should be weary of salons because their machines may not be as powerful as the medical grade machines. Apparently a physician needs to be on staff to order a medical grade machine.

I would SO greatly appreciate if anybody could provide some insight into which option I should choose, or if you have any knowledge on these laser machines. I can mostly only find ads online promoting them. Thank you!
