Severe Phone Addiction.

I probably have the worst phone use out of all my peers, and I try to hide it as much as possible. The first smart phone I got was when I turned 12, and soon after it was all that I used. I would be on it for 6-14 hours a day , and because of that, lost a good chunk of my teenage years just scrolling for another dopamine fix. Since high school, and moving into full time jobs, it seems my addiction has only gotten worse, I average 12-15 hours a day now. Even when I know what I need to do for the day, i physically cannot bring myself to put my phone down. It honestly feels like someone is pulling me into my screen, and I can’t look away. As soon as I do, I miss it, and feel panicked without it for any period of time. I can’t even spend my free time to watch even a movie or play a video game, or cook for myself, all I want is to mindlessly scroll. It’s affected my family life, my social life, and my work.

I want to cut my phone out of my life, and live like i used to, before it’s too late. Any advice is appreciated, most techniques haven’t worked for me.
