I just finished reading 𝙂𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙈𝙚 𝙖 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 by A.L. Jackson, and wow, it hooked me from the very first page! The tension and emotion between Trent and Eden were just incredible. I couldn’t get enough of their story! Trent is this brooding, tortured guy with a complex past, while Eden is sweet and kind-hearted, seeing right through his tough exterior. Their connection? Absolutely swoon-worthy! The chemistry between them is off the charts, and tension builds as you turn each page. And let’s talk about that plot twist at the end—WOW! I thought I had it all figured out, but it still surprised me. The twist added so much emotional depth to the story, making it even more gripping. I found myself completely unable to stop reading! I loved watching their relationship grow, moving from all that tension to tender moments. Eden’s arrival encourages Trent to confront his past, and you can see how he grows throughout the book. Plus, the romance? Just perfect! I also appreciated the relationship between Trent and Gage. Seeing him navigate fatherhood while dealing with his own struggles was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Eden’s support for Trent and Gage added much depth to their connection. If you’re in the mood for a suspenseful romance filled with heart and a plot twist that will leave you speechless, I highly recommend 𝙂𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙈𝙚 𝙖 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣! You won’t regret it!

🎧️Connor Crais and Desiree Ketchum narrated this story incredibly well, bringing the intense drama and emotions to life. It's a great listen!

... Read moreAs a dedicated book lover, I can honestly say A.L. Jackson's Give Me a Reason completely captivated me from page one. If you're searching for a book that delivers intense emotions, an undeniable connection, and a plot that keeps you guessing, this is it! What truly sets this novel apart is the masterful execution of its tropes, especially the enemies-to-lovers dynamic blended with a compelling single-dad narrative. Our hero, Trent Lawson, is the epitome of the morally gray protagonist—dark, dangerous, and wickedly gorgeous, making my knees weak just reading about him! He's introduced as an arrogant jerk, a brooding, tortured guy with a complex past. Yet, through Eden Murphy's eyes, we see glimpses of the man beneath the tough exterior. Eden, sweet and kind-hearted, isn't afraid to challenge him, which makes their push-and-pull so incredibly satisfying. The story truly shines as their forbidden attraction flames, creating a palpable tension that screams, 'They shouldn't, but they *must*!' Every glance, every touch, made my heart race, aching for what they couldn’t have, knowing they were falling fast. Then there's the single-dad aspect, which adds so much depth. Watching Trent navigate fatherhood while battling his own struggles was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Eden’s natural warmth and support for Trent and his son, Gage, really solidify their connection and make you root for them even harder. It’s not just a romance; it’s a story about healing, family, and finding redemption. The author skillfully weaves in a gripping romantic suspense element, culminating in a plot twist that genuinely left me speechless. I thought I had it all figured out, but it surprised me in the best way, adding layers of emotional depth I didn't anticipate. This twist doesn't just serve as a shock; it propels the characters into confronting their pasts and future. And yes, it’s spicy! The chemistry between Trent and Eden is off the charts, and the passionate scenes perfectly complement their escalating emotional bond. It feels earned, not gratuitous, enhancing the intensity of their connection. As a fan of the Redemption Hills series, this first book introduces a world I can't wait to explore further. If you love a romance where the hero is a monster who finds his humanity through love, and the heroine is a treasure who steals his heart, you absolutely have to pick this up. It's a journey from tension to tender moments, where you witness character growth and a love so profound, you can't help but think: 'I brought your heart back to life, but Eden, you made mine beat for the first time.' Trust me, you won't regret diving into this one!
