Every year @TikTok puts out their Discover List of the top 50 creators to watch on a global showcase and I this year I was named one of their top creators in the field of education. 🤳👩🏽⚕️
The creators are chosen from all countries from the US to Australia, Japan to South Africa, TikTok choosing creators who are redefining culture and making a positive impact on and off the platform. 🌍
I’ve been fortunate to work with TikTok to help content creators to improve their mental health and well being. Did you know that most of Gen Z and Gen Alpha wants to be content creators? Yet there are not research studies that solely focus on mental health gold standards for creator mental health. I am trying to change that by creating evidence based tools to support creators so that they can continue to share information and bring awareness in order to make the world a better place. 📱
I am also dedicated to helping the next generation of healthcare content creators to continue to combat health misinformation online in order to make evidence-based health information accessible to all. 💖
Thank you to TikTok to my team, my community and colleagues for your support and for motivating me to use TikTok for good! 😊

Being recognized among TikTok's top 50 global creators is a testament to the growing importance of credible educational content on social media platforms. As someone deeply engaged in mental health advocacy and healthcare education, I understand the challenges that content creators face, especially younger generations like Gen Z and Gen Alpha who are increasingly turning to digital platforms for career opportunities. TikTok’s Discover List not only highlights creators impacting culture worldwide but also emphasizes the evolving responsibilities of influencers to promote well-being and factual information. The mental health of content creators is often overlooked despite their significant influence. With so many aspiring creators, establishing gold standards and emotional support systems is crucial to sustain their creativity without compromising mental wellness. In addition to promoting mental health, combating misinformation—especially in healthcare—is essential. Dr. Judith's work showcases how medical professionals can leverage social media’s reach to disseminate evidence-based health information, countering myths and harmful narratives prevalent online. This approach empowers viewers with reliable knowledge, fostering healthier communities globally. Personally, I believe every creator has the potential to inspire positive change, provided they receive adequate support and resources. Platforms like TikTok offer an incredible opportunity for educational outreach, but creators must be equipped to handle the psychological pressures and ethical responsibilities that come with influence. Overall, the Discover List spotlights creators who are not just entertainers but catalysts for education and social good. Their dedication to authenticity and impact resonates with audiences hungry for trustworthy content. As the digital landscape evolves, initiatives supporting creator well-being and credible information will continue to shape how we connect, learn, and grow together.
