"Just say “No.”  In our relationships with partners, family members, friends, etc., it’s easy to be agreeable and say “Yes.”  But it does not meet our needs or wants. This can lead to pent-up anger, frustration, and even avoidance of interacting with the other parties down the road.

I am glad that the “Awesome Boundaries” workshop provides useful learning points and role-playing activities that help me better understand my needs and wants and communicate them to others in a healthier way.

Learning to set boundaries is important in both personal and professional relationships!  Do come to learn more.:

... Read moreSetting boundaries in relationships can be challenging, but it's crucial for maintaining respect and personal well-being. One of the most common pitfalls people face is saying “Yes” to requests or expectations that don’t align with their true desires, leading to pent-up anger and stress. Through my experience, workshops like Awesome Boundaries are valuable because they provide practical techniques and scenarios to practice how to confidently set limits. For example, during the workshop, role-playing exercises allow participants to rehearse assertive communication, which is essential when expressing boundaries clearly and kindly. It’s important to remember that boundaries differ depending on the relationship—whether it’s with family, friends, or colleagues—and learning to adjust your communication style accordingly makes setting boundaries more effective. Another insight I gained was understanding the positive impact of saying “No” and how it helps foster mutual respect in relationships. Instead of avoidance or resentment, clear boundaries encourage open dialogue and build trust. If you’re in Singapore or online, attending workshops like Awesome Boundaries, especially when combined with complementary trainings such as Sexy Intersections, can enhance your ability to engage in sex-positive and emotionally healthy social groups. Signing up ahead of events at ErosCoaching.com/events ensures you stay informed about upcoming sessions and member opportunities. Overall, developing boundary-setting skills has greatly improved my personal interactions and professional partnerships. It’s a practical, empowering approach that anyone can learn to strengthen their relationship health and emotional well-being.
