When choosing sunscreen, many people have seen the number SPF 50 or the PA + + + mark and ask... "What is it? The more, the better?" Today, Doctor Ploy told me in an easy-to-understand way. 💕

🔎 is SPF?

SPF (Sun Protection Factor) = Protection value UVB radiation, which is the main culprit of burning, burning, red skin.

• SPF 30 → about 96% UVB protection

• SPF 50 → about 98% UVB protection

You see, the numbers are not very different, but it is important to apply sufficient amounts, otherwise the performance is not as written.

What is 🌤 PA?

PA (Protection Grade of UVA) = Protection Value UVA radiation, which causes skin to age quickly and wrinkle.

• PA + → Less Protection

• PA + + → Medium Protection

• PA + + + → High Protection

Not always!

• If indoor / office → SPF 30 PA + + + is enough

• If sunny, playing outdoor sports → SPF 50 + PA + + + and above is better suited

Because a higher value doesn't mean our skin is whiter, it just helps to keep protection stable in a more risky environment.

💡 The trick is more important than the number on the bottle.

• Apply enough amount (at least 2 faces)

• Reapply every 2-3 hours, especially if sunny or sweaty

• Don't forget to apply it to your throat, ears, back of your hand.
