happy things - days 34-36
February is a hard month for me. Tomorrow makes two years since my dad died, then just over a week later would have been his birthday. I don’t necessarily stay current on this challenge during this time, but I’m still trying to continue looking for the good each day.
34: a good morning ubering. Friends who are understanding when I have to bow out of events. Lunch with my husband. A lazy evening in.
35: a productive start to the day. Making lunch as a family. Finishing Spare. A wonderful and exhausting derby practice. Feeling stronger every time I’m on my skates. The first scrimmages of the season. Making it home before Henry’s bedtime. A slow Sunday evening.
36: sleeping in a little. The happiest baby. Getting all the laundry done. Starting Cursed. A weird pairing of buffalo chickpea tacos and roasted artichoke hearts for dinner. An early bedtime.
