Days Gone Trophy Hunting Part 1
Hey fellow Freaker fighters and trophy hunters! I've finally decided to embark on the epic journey of earning the Platinum trophy for Days Gone on my PS5. This game has such an incredible vibe, and diving deep into all its challenges for that sweet 100% completion feels like the perfect way to experience it all over again, or for the first time if you're just starting your own journey! My 'Part 1' of trophy hunting is all about setting the stage and tackling those initial achievements. When you're aiming for that Platinum, it’s not just about surviving against hordes of zombies; it's about exploring every nook and cranny of Oregon, mastering your motorcycle, and really getting into Deacon St. John's story with Boozer. The OCR recognition even highlighted 'Boozer Just sayin'' and 'Deacon Jesus', reminding me of the game's rich narrative that intertwines with many of the trophies. One of the first things I always recommend for any trophy hunt is to understand the game's mechanics and general trophy structure. Days Gone has a good mix: story-related trophies that you’ll naturally unlock by progressing through Deacon's emotional journey, combat-specific challenges like using different weapons or takedowns, and of course, a huge chunk dedicated to exploration and collectibles. The OCR recognized 'OUR FIRST TROPHY' and 'UNLOCKING COLLECTIBLE', which perfectly highlights these early game goals. Getting those first few collectibles, whether it's historical markers or Nero injectors, is a great way to kick off your progress percentage. For me, unlocking my very first trophy usually comes fairly early, often tied to a primary mission or a simple action. Don't rush it though! Enjoy the ride. Take your time clearing out those Freaker nests and setting up your camps. As the OCR images reminded me, 'SURVIVE' is key, and often, the survival elements themselves contribute to various trophies. For example, upgrading your motorcycle, which is essential for getting around the vast map, will have associated trophies. Keeping your bike fueled and repaired is a constant battle, but a rewarding one when you earn those specific achievements. I'm focusing on trying to mop up as many early-game, missable-free trophies as possible while enjoying the story. Things like clearing your first Freaker nest, finding Nero checkpoints, and helping out at the encampments usually unlock several achievements without too much extra effort. Pay attention to the in-game hints and challenges too – sometimes they align perfectly with a trophy requirement. For instance, the game often encourages using FOCUS mode in combat, and mastering it can help you get combat-related trophies more efficiently. The OCR had a great screenshot of 'FOCUS' and XP gain, reminding me of those satisfying combat moments! Getting to 'PLATINUM' is a marathon, not a sprint, so let's enjoy every step of the 'GAME' as we go. So, wish me luck on this epic Days Gone Platinum journey! I’ll be sharing my progress, tips, and any tricky trophies I encounter along the way. Let's conquer those Freakers and fill up that trophy cabinet together!
