... Read moreOh man, I totally get what 'Korea withdrawals' means now! Ever since I got back from my incredible trip to Seoul, I've just been reminiscing about every single moment. It wasn't just a vacation; it was a real 'healinghamnida' experience, as they say! I wanted to share a few more thoughts and tips, especially for anyone looking to capture the true essence of Korea – maybe even try some 'codegraphy' themselves! One of the things I loved most about exploring Seoul was just wandering the streets. You can find beauty in the most unexpected places. I spent hours in neighborhoods like Seongsu, soaking in the trendy vibes, the street art, and just watching people. It’s a photographer's dream – every corner has a story. From the unique graffiti on metal shutters to the bustling energy of the night market where I grabbed some delicious candied fruit, there’s always something to snap. Even something as mundane as a manhole cover becomes interesting when you're fully immersed in the city's details. And let's talk about the food and little comforts! My daily ritual often started with a trip to a 7-Eleven. Seriously, don't underestimate Korean convenience stores! I'd fill my shopping basket with things like banana milk, egg sandwiches, and tuna kimchi fried rice – perfect for a quick, affordable breakfast. Then, it was off to find a cozy cafe. There’s nothing quite like sipping an iced coffee in a charming Seoul cafe, just watching the world go by. That's my kind of healing. Getting around was a breeze thanks to the Seoul Metro. I loved looking out the window, seeing the city skyline and landmarks like the bridges as we zoomed past. It’s so efficient, and an experience in itself. Each station, like Apgujeong, felt like a gateway to a new adventure. For a different kind of fun and 'healing,' the nightlife was amazing! I remember one night hitting a dimly lit club with friends – the red disco ball and music were just what I needed to let loose. And of course, no trip to Seoul is complete without a stop at a photo booth. We found a 'Han Film' booth and took so many silly strips. It’s such a fun way to create lasting memories and is definitely a piece of Korean culture everyone should try. These little visual diaries are my personal 'codegraphy' of the trip! If you're planning a trip, embrace the spontaneous moments. Let yourself get lost, try new things, and capture everything – whether it's the grandeur of a temple or the simple joy of a street vendor's snack. These are the moments that truly make you feel like you're healing and connecting with the place. I can't wait to go back and make more memories!
