Who doesn’t love to receive a FREE Makeup RE-TOUCH kit? A kit is always included with every Makeup service 💗
🫧 My kits so far include:
🌱 Makeup Wipe : At the end of the night you’re tired, all you want to do is take your makeup off and sleep 😴.
🌱 Setting Powder : Throughout the day makeup does end up getting oily, creasing, or sometimes you just need to retouch (everyone is different). Depending on what setting powder I use on my beautiful clients, is the one they receive. 🤍
🌱 Powder Puff Sponge : To use with setting powder or if preferred by itself.
🌱 LipGloss tube : The Lipgloss tube is filled with a bit of the lipgloss used on client to retouch when wanted to 👄.
🌱 Q-Tips : In my opinion ; I think Q-Tips should be included ALWAYS, you never know if your eyes might get itchy, watery, or something might’ve gone in your eye ! They can always come in handy 🤩
🌱 Lash Spoolies : Some clients have straight lashes that go downwards / some clients might get lashes that start falling which the Spoolies may help to brush them back up ⬆️
🫧 Thank you/ INFO card : I love to thank my clients for trusting me on their special day, I adore every single one of my clients that has trusted me, and bonded with me. Words cannot explain how special and meaningful they are and hold in my heart. ❤️, the INFO card which just includes my number in case of an emergency 🚨 or social media handle to follow up afterwards on Makeup Apt. with feedback 🌱. Any feedback helps to grow more as a person / MUA. 💞
I hope this is a bit helpful, I would want to include more what do you guys think? What should I include 😋
... Read moreCreating the perfect makeup look for a client is just the first step; ensuring it lasts beautifully throughout their special day is equally important. That’s why providing a thoughtful touch-up kit has become a signature part of my service as an MUA. It’s not just about practicality; it’s about making my clients feel cared for and confident, knowing they can refresh their look anytime.
Let’s dive a bit deeper into why each item in my kit is a true essential and how clients can best use them. The clear organza bag makes it easy to see all the essentials inside, which is super convenient for a quick grab. First up is the Makeup Wipe. While primarily for removal, I always tell my clients these are fantastic for quick fixes. A smudged eyeliner, a tiny mascara mishap, or even just refreshing the skin around the mouth after eating – a small corner of a wipe can be a lifesaver. It’s about discreet, on-the-go corrections.
Then there’s the Setting Powder and Powder Puff Sponge. Throughout the day, natural oils can emerge, especially in the T-zone, leading to shine and creasing. The setting powder, specifically chosen to match the one I used during their service, is perfect for mattifying without disrupting the makeup underneath. I instruct clients to gently press, not rub, the powder onto oily areas using the powder puff sponge. This technique ensures a smooth, seamless touch-up rather than a cakey appearance.
The Lip Gloss tube, filled with a bit of the exact lip gloss I applied, is a client favorite. Lips are always the first to fade, whether from talking, eating, or drinking. Having their perfect shade readily available means they can reapply whenever needed, keeping their pout looking fresh and vibrant. No need to worry about finding a matching shade or carrying a bulky product.
And let’s talk about Q-Tips and Lash Spoolies – often underestimated but incredibly versatile! Q-tips aren't just for itchy eyes. They are amazing for precision work: cleaning up lipstick edges, sharpening eyeliner, or gently removing fallout under the eyes. As for lash spoolies, they’re fantastic for brushing lashes back into place, separating any clumps that might appear, or even taming unruly brows. Some clients with naturally straight lashes find them invaluable for a quick lift throughout the day.
Finally, the Thank You/Info Card isn't just a formality. It’s a personal touch that reinforces the bond I form with my clients. It includes my contact information for emergencies and my social media handle, encouraging feedback and continued connection. This feedback is precious; it helps me grow as a person and as a makeup artist.
Now, to answer my own question about what else could be included – based on client feedback and my own experience, these extras could definitely elevate the touch-up kit experience:
Blotting Papers: For those who prefer to absorb oil without adding more product, blotting papers are a lightweight and effective alternative to powder.
Mini Hairspray: A tiny travel-sized hairspray can be a lifesaver for taming flyaways, setting brows, or even smoothing a stray curl.
Small Hair Ties/Bobby Pins: For quick hair styling adjustments, especially important for events where hair might shift.
Personalized Lip Balm: A hydrating lip balm can keep lips supple and prepare them for gloss reapplication.
Mini Hand Sanitizer: Always useful for hygiene, especially before touching the face for touch-ups.
Small Mirror: While most people have their phones, a dedicated compact mirror can be more convenient for discreet touch-ups.
Ultimately, a well-curated touch-up kit, whether simple or extensive, shows immense care and professionalism. It gives clients the tools they need to maintain their confidence and look flawless from start to finish, reflecting positively on their entire makeup experience.
