my France & Spain eats! 😋
Going to France & Spain had been on my bucket list for a while so i was SO EXCITED to actually go!! I'm not usually someone who likes to try new things (esp new food, it's scary) but I told myself I was gonna have to get more adventurous when I went abroad.
I'm just now realizing how many desserts I tried instead of real food 😠I promise I tried real food too but I didn't take as many pictures I guess
ALSO: If anyone knows what that food's called on slide 4 PLEASE TELL ME. I cannot remember to save my life and it's driving me crazy!

Traveling through France and Spain offers a rich culinary experience, with each region bringing distinct flavors and specialties. In France, cities like Paris and Bordeaux offer iconic treats such as exquisite chocolates and innovative desserts, while regional dishes often combine carefully selected local ingredients. For example, while in Bordeaux, the author encountered an unidentified but delectable dish that highlights the region's culinary mystery and diversity. In Spain, cities like Pamplona, San Sebastian, and Barcelona provide a feast of tastes—from the spicy, paprika-infused appetizers in Pamplona to the rich cinnamon-flavored desserts of San Sebastian, which can be quite filling. One of Spain’s famous dishes, paella, originating from Valencia but broadly enjoyed across the country, was sampled in Barcelona and praised for its flavors despite the challenge of dealing with seafood heads and shells. This dish is a must-try for visitors seeking authentic Spanish cuisine. When trying new foods abroad, it's common to balance adventurous eating with comfort zones. The author’s experience shows that exploring desserts can be a delightful way to embrace new tastes. However, some dishes, like the unknown pasta and meat combination from Biarritz or a less enjoyable airplane meal, highlight that not every culinary experiment will satisfy everyone’s palate. For travelers eager to delve deeper into local gastronomy, it’s helpful to research regional specialties ahead of time and ask locals for recommendations. Also, understanding common ingredients and preparation styles can ease any nervousness around trying unfamiliar foods. Sharing experiences on social forums, like Lemon8, can help connect food lovers and provide tips on hidden gems. Overall, capturing and sharing these culinary experiences not only enriches personal travel memories but also aids others in planning their own flavorful journeys through France and Spain. If you recognize the mystery dish from Bordeaux or have tips for spicing up your vacation eats, engaging with travel food communities can add another layer of enjoyment to your culinary adventures.
