Lunar New Year special drinks in chinatown✨

Siyi is a buddhist themed small tea shop in chinatown nyc! They sell incense and small hot bites like fishcakes as well 🫶

Ambiance: It is spacious but very limited seating area. Most people come for take out. There is cute lunar new year decor going on with wishes you can hang on the tree and lunar new year drapes!

💵 Price: The price changes according to what toppings you choose. I would say the drinks ranges from $6-9!

Favorite Item:

• 🍊Orange Tea: Orange juice, black tea, cheese foam

• 🍇 Grape & Rose: Black Grape, Green Grape, Rose Oolong Tea

• 🍋‍🟩 Cucu lime Tea: Cucumber, Lime, Green Tea

My favorite was the orange tea because the cheese foam made it not too sweet and it was warm perfect for the weather!

... Read moreExploring Chinatown during Lunar New Year is always a magical experience, and this year, I was on the hunt for unique festive treats beyond the usual. That's how I stumbled upon Siyi, a charming Buddhist-themed tea shop that truly brought a special touch to my holiday celebrations in NYC. While many think of pastries or savory dishes when they hear "Lunar New Year treats," Siyi offers a delightful liquid interpretation. Their special drinks are genuinely a treat in themselves! I was particularly drawn to their range of innovative creations, which make for perfect celebratory sips. For instance, their Orange Tea with its creamy cheese foam became an instant favorite – imagine that warm, citrusy black tea perfectly balanced by the sweet and slightly tangy foam. It's a comforting hug in a cup, especially during the chill of winter, making it a perfect Lunar New Year special to welcome spring, or '迎春' as the festive decor around Siyi truly embodies. The ambiance at Siyi is just as captivating as its drinks. The shop, with its unique '茶香寺派' (tea-fragrant temple style) vibe, creates a serene yet festive environment. During Lunar New Year, they go all out with adorable decorations, including drapes and a special tree where you can hang wishes. It adds a wonderfully interactive and personal touch to your visit, making it more than just a place to grab a drink – it's an experience. You can really feel the spirit of the season here, making it a standout among other destinations for Lunar New Year specials in Chinatown. Beyond the drinks, Siyi also offers small hot bites like fishcakes, which are fantastic savory complements to their sweet and fruity tea concoctions. These small snacks ensure that even if you're craving something more substantial than a beverage, Siyi has you covered. The prices for drinks, ranging from $6-9 depending on your chosen toppings, feel very reasonable for such high-quality and uniquely crafted beverages in a prime Chinatown NYC location. It’s definitely a place where you can find certified quality teas and unique offerings like their Grape & Rose or refreshing Cucu Lime Tea, which truly stands out from typical tea shops. So, if you're in Chinatown, NYC, looking for memorable Lunar New Year treats, don't overlook Siyi. It's not just about the drinks; it's about the entire festive experience, the cozy ambiance, and a unique way to celebrate the holiday. It’s a definite must-visit for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the spirit of the season with delicious and comforting specials.
