snow ice matcha and ramen spot in nyc✨

... Read moreOkay, fellow foodies, I finally made it to Loong Ramen in Battery Park, and I have to spill all the details! I had been seeing this spot pop up on my feed, and being a huge ramen enthusiast, I knew I had to check it out. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Finding Loong Ramen was easy enough—it’s nestled right in the charming Battery Park area, perfect for a post-stroll meal or a comforting dinner after exploring downtown. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s not overly fancy, but it has that authentic, cozy ramen shop vibe. Think wooden accents, comfortable seating, and the comforting aroma of rich broth filling the air. It felt like a little escape from the bustling city outside, a place where you can truly relax and enjoy your meal. Now, onto the main event: the ramen! I opted for their signature Tonkotsu ramen, and honestly, it was a game-changer. The broth was incredibly rich and creamy, simmered to perfection for hours, with a depth of flavor that just hits differently. The noodles were perfectly chewy, cooked al dente, and the chashu pork literally melted in my mouth—tender, flavorful, just divine. Every ingredient felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I also added an ajitama egg, which was perfectly soft-boiled with a gooey yolk, exactly how I like it. Seriously, if you're a fan of traditional Japanese ramen, the quality at Loong Ramen will impress you. They also offer other popular broths like Shoyu and Miso, so there’s something for every palate. While the ramen is definitely the star, I also tried their gyoza as an appetizer, and they were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside – a great start to the meal. They have a good selection of drinks too, including some refreshing Japanese sodas and teas, which pair perfectly with the savory dishes. I noticed they also had a few other small plates, like edamame and takoyaki, which I’ll definitely be trying on my next visit. The service was prompt and friendly, which always makes a dining experience better. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and they seemed genuinely happy to help with recommendations or any questions I had about the menu. For the quality of food and the prime location, I found the prices to be quite reasonable, especially for NYC. It's definitely a spot where you get great value for your money, making it a fantastic option for both a casual lunch and a more substantial dinner. If you're ever in Battery Park or just craving some top-notch ramen in NYC, you absolutely have to give Loong Ramen a try. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch, a cozy dinner, or just a comforting bowl of noodles on a chilly day, this place delivers. It's quickly become one of my go-to recommendations for authentic Japanese ramen in the city. You won't regret it!
